About Roskosh Media

Roskosh Media is the trading name Roskosh Limited publishes under. It builds and runs small, independent local directory websites: one trade per site, one town at a time.

What we publish

Each site lists every business of its trade that we can find in a town, arranged by area, with the prices and opening hours those businesses publish themselves. Today that is 81 businesses across 2 towns and 34 neighbourhoods. New towns are added monthly, and new trades when the search demand justifies a site.

Alongside the directories we are building price comparison pages on the same checked data, and buying-guide sites that earn a commission on referrals in trades where a monthly listing is not the right product. Anything not yet live is described as such.

Where the details come from

Every listing starts from public information: the business's own website, its social pages and its Google profile. Every description is written by us from those facts. We never copy text or photographs from a business's own site. Prices are the business's published figures and are rechecked every three months. Verified and Featured businesses have confirmed their details with us directly.

Ratings are shown as plain text with the source named and the month we checked, and they link back to that source. We do not put third-party ratings into structured data.

How the order works

Paid placement is always labelled. Each list is ordered by listing tier first, then rating, then name, so a Featured business will always appear above a free one. There are never more than three Featured places in an area. This is stated on every site that carries it.

Corrections and removals

Any business can have its listing corrected or removed by emailing hello@roskoshmedia.co.uk. We handle it within seven days, at no charge, whether or not the business pays us anything.

Who runs it

The company is run by Daniel Knyzhnyk from Essex. Roskosh Limited was incorporated in England and Wales in 2022, company no. 13889523. We own no business in any trade we list, and we take no commission on work booked through the sites.
